How to submit a request

Send data deletion requests related to MioCC to mio.ccomm@gmail.com.

What to include

To identify the records that should be reviewed for deletion, include only the information needed for the request, such as:

Do not send passwords, PINs, private keys, original unprotected files, decrypted files or other sensitive content.

How requests are verified

To locate the relevant records and help verify a deletion request, the developer may use the email address and the last 6-8 characters of the MioCC license key provided by the requester. Additional verification may be requested before deletion where reasonably necessary to prevent unauthorized deletion.

Data that may be deleted

Depending on the request and applicable obligations, deletion may apply to personal data controlled by the developer, including:

Active and inactive licenses

Any user may request deletion, whether the related license is active, expired, suspended or inactive. If a request concerns an active license, deleting license or activation data may disable access to licensed LIGHT or PRO features.

Users may request deletion of support or contact data, license activation records, or other license-related records where deletion is legally and technically possible. Some license and payment records may need to be retained as described below.

Data that may be retained

Some data may be retained, denied for deletion or only partly deleted where retention is required or justified for:

Original user content

MioCC processes encryption and decryption locally, without cloud processing of original content. The developer does not need to receive original files, decrypted files, passwords, PINs, salt values or private keys for local encryption and decryption.

Response time

The developer aims to respond to and process eligible deletion requests without undue delay and normally within 30 days. If additional time is required because of the complexity or number of requests, the user will be informed within the initial 30-day period, together with the reason for the delay. Any extension will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
