A practical installation checklist.
Before You Install
Welcome to MioCC. MioCC is an offline-first privacy application designed to protect text and files locally on your device.
Unlike traditional messaging or file-sharing applications, MioCC is designed around two simple workflows:
Capture → Protect → Share
Create protected content directly inside MioCC.
Receive → Unlock → View
Access protected content received from any source.
Reviewing the Quick Start Guide before installation is recommended.
System Requirements
Android
- Android 10 or later.
- Camera is optional.
- Storage permission may be required when saving or opening files.
- Approximate free storage for installation and protected files.
- Internet connection is needed only for download, activation or updates.
Windows
- Windows 10 or Windows 11.
- 64-bit system.
- Storage space for protected files.
- Administrator privileges may be required depending on Windows configuration.
- Internet connection is needed only for download, activation or updates.
Download MioCC
Download MioCC only from the official MioCC website or from the official application store when available.
Verify that the downloaded package matches the official release.
Avoid downloading installation files from unofficial sources.
Installing on Android
Download the APK.Use the official MioCC source.
Allow installation if required.Only allow installation from a trusted source.
Complete installation.Open MioCC after installation finishes.
Start a session.Enter your password/passphrase and choose LOCK MODE or UNLOCK MODE.
Use only needed permissions.Grant only the permissions required for the features you use.
Installing on Windows
Download the Windows installer.Use the official MioCC source.
Run the installer.Accept the installation location if desired.
Complete installation.Launch MioCC after the installer finishes.
Start a session.Enter your password/passphrase and choose LOCK MODE or UNLOCK MODE.
Use only needed permissions.Grant only the permissions required for the features you use.
First Start
During the first launch, create a strong password/passphrase and remember it. MioCC cannot recover forgotten passwords.
Store your passphrase in a safe place before protecting important data.
Use a unique passphrase that is not used anywhere else.
License Activation
FREE
No purchase or activation is required.
LIGHT / PRO
License activation may occur automatically or by using a license file. Follow the instructions displayed during activation.
Verify Your Installation
Your installation is successful if you can open MioCC, enter your password, switch between LOCK MODE and UNLOCK MODE, protect a small text message, and unlock the protected text again.
Create this text:
My first MioCC test.
Protect it, copy the protected result, switch to UNLOCK MODE, paste it and unlock it. If the original message appears again, MioCC is working correctly.
Updating MioCC
Always update from official MioCC sources. Updates may include security improvements, compatibility updates, bug fixes and new features.
Troubleshooting
Installation fails
Verify that your operating system version is supported.
Activation fails
Verify your internet connection, license validity, and system date and time.
Cannot unlock content
Verify the correct password, correct protected file, and supported MioCC version.
Protected file will not open
Verify that the file is a supported MioCC protected file and has not been modified or corrupted.
Processing is slow
Large files depend on CPU, RAM, disk speed and platform behavior. Keep enough free storage and avoid running heavy tasks at the same time.
Uninstalling MioCC
Before uninstalling, ensure important protected files are backed up, your password/passphrase is stored safely, and your license information is stored if required.
Removing MioCC does not automatically remove protected files stored elsewhere on your device.
Uninstalling MioCC does not remove passwords stored outside the application or files shared through other applications.
